Ezra Walian Debut, Almere City FC Win
Ezra Walian underwent a debut with Almere City FC. Although not scored, the Indonesian national team striker helped deliver his new team up the rankings.
U-22 national team striker Ezra Walian (19) took Almere City a 3-1 win over Helmond Sport in the Eerste Divisie or second league caste at the Yanmar Stadium on Saturday (9/9/2017).
As reported by Soccerway, Ezra Walian is placed as a left winger. He was accompanied by Achille Vaarnold and Kevin Brands to fill the position of the Almere City trident.
The three players received strength from the trio of midfielders Arsenio Valpoort, Josef Kvida, and Jeffrey Rijsdijk.
Meanwhile, coach Jack de Gier puts Gaston Salasiwa, Damon Mirani, Calvin Mac-Intosh, and Kees van Buuren to escort Almere’s back line.
As for Chiel Krames is believed De Gier became the main goalkeeper.
Playing in front of his own supporters, Almere City performed self-paced.
They immediately open the advantage in the 22nd minute. Mirani managed to convert the Vaarnold feed to bring Almere a 1-0 lead.
Score 1-0 to host survive until halftime.
Entering the second half, Almere continues to double the advantage. Their efforts paid off in the 49th minute.
Vaarnold is again the creator of his team. This time he sent an assist for a goal which was booked by Valpoort.
Supporters Ezra Walian and his friends cheered again in the 72nd minute. Valpoort successfully menceploskan second goal by converting operand Rijsdijk.
Helmond was able to pack a consolation goal in the 76th minute through Furhgill Zeldenrust’s penalty kick.
De Gier then pulled out Ezra in the 77th minute. Ezra was replaced by Dennis van der Heijden.
Score 3-1 for Almere remained unchanged until the long whistle sounded.
Raihan three points make Almere up 10 ranks to 10th place with a collection of four points.
Meanwhile, Helmond getting buried in the 19th position through the acquisition of two points.
