FIFA Ranking: Germany’s national team sliding Brazil from top spot
After undergoing several weeks of success, Germany is now finally back to successfully topped FIFA rankings Agen Bola Terpercaya.
Germany’s national team returned to the top spot FIFA rankings for the first time in two years, they moved Brazil into the position of the second.
Joachim Low’s team won the Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this month, they won 1-0 victory over Chile in the final which took place in St. Petersburg.
In addition to outperforming the Brazilian national team, Germany also successfully stepped over Argentina who dropped to third in the list of rankings released on Thursday (6/7).
The past few weeks have been an incredible period for the German national team. In addition to winning the Confederations Cup, their junior U-21 team also managed to emerge as champions in the U-21 Euro tournament in Poland, they successfully conquered Spain by 1-0 in the final.
Meanwhile, the Polish national team recorded managed to occupy the highest rank in their history, having managed to achieve positive results in World Cup qualifying. Robert Lewandowski and his colleagues rose four places compared to last month so are now ranked sixth.
While the Spanish national team became a country that must be thrown from the top 10, they are now ranked 11th just below Belgium.
Swedish national team became one of the teams that experienced the best ranking increase. They climbed 16 positions, while the semi-finalists Euro 2016 Wales fell seven places to 20th.
England still ranked 13th, just below Italy, while the Euro 2016 champion is now ranked fourth.
Northern Ireland also managed to occupy the highest rank in their history. Michael O’Neill’s team was ranked 22nd, after not suffering defeat and conceded in three World Cup qualifying matches. They are now 10 levels above the Netherlands.
The country that experienced the most drastic ranking increase in FIFA’s latest ranking this time is Andora. They successfully won their first victory since 2004 when conquering Hungary 1-0 in World Cup qualifying event last June.
They climbed 57 positions and earned an additional 177 points making it now ranked 129th.
The latest FIFA rankings will be re-released on August 10, 2017.
